*BAM* Yes, this spoke to me. In many, many ways...but you knew that already. I am trying to get to the beach, day by day, shell by shell. And some days I'm driving the bus to get there, but more often it seems to the manuscript in the driver's seat. Thank you, as always, for your amazing words of wisdom. I am so happy to leave behind the "I used to be a writer" reference. We ARE writers, and I so appreciate your support in helping me find my worth. Now, how can we get you those sweatpants??

One day, I'll be avoiding my own writing and somehow those sweatpants will find their way into my shopping cart....

I felt this in my heart and my gut and my throat. In some ways I've been doing something similar, going back and forth between several ideas, writing bits and pieces and feeling like the fact that I can't get it together or focus on one thing just means I'm not a "writer". I. needed this today and I'm jotting down some of my favorite affirmations as little reminders<3.

There's no one way to be a writer. Going back and forth is okay. Beating yourself up for it, not so much. :) Be brave and trust that the story will come together.

Love this! I can hear your voice in it. And the song reference made me LOL. (I've been known to sing along to it in the car when I'm driving alone . . . . Now I will forever think of this reference.) As always, brilliant, actionable advice. Thank you!

Ha! Hope I don't give you an earworm like I did to myself. :)
